Achieving spending efficiency for the University of Bisha by rationalizing spending and enhancing investments within a framework of quality and sustainable development

Strategic goals:

  1. Rationalizing university spending without compromising quality.
  2. Directing investments and projects at the university according to strategic priorities.
  3. Educating university employees about the concept of spending efficiency and how to apply it.

Executive objectives:

  1. Increasing the efficiency of the university’s operational and financial spending.
  2. Creating savings opportunities that enable the university to better manage spending and achieve greater efficiency.
  3. Directing spending to support the objectives of the university’s strategic plan (2017-2022) and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
  4. Proposing services and initiatives at lower costs.
  5. Evaluating investments and projects and directing them according to the university’s strategic priorities.
  6. Developing the capabilities of university employees with regard to spending efficiency.​ ​

​Activities and tasks:

  1. Achieving efficiency in university spending by drawing strategies and developing various policies, plans and programs in accordance with statutory procedures and following their implementation after approval by the authority holder.
  2. Study the details of spending and operational and capital practices at the university, and identify opportunities to achieve spending efficiency and the resulting savings in university budgets.
  3. Adopting indicators and standards to measure spending efficiency and developing them on an ongoing basis.
  4. Preparing periodic (monthly) reports and submitting them to His Excellency the University President for approval and directing them to the Spending Efficiency Center of the Supreme Economic Council.
  5. Implementing events (holding meetings and seminars, implementing workshops and training courses, etc.) specialized in the field of achieving spending efficiency.
  6. ​Concluding partnerships and agreements with relevant government agencies to exchange experiences and achieve spending efficiency targets.
  7. Setting incentives and encouraging university employees and raising them to complete what is necessary in order to achieve efficient spending.

- A representative from each administrative/organizational unit at the university (to provide the office with periodic reports and respond to inquiries related to his employer)
